Resistance to our inner wisdom and innate patterns makes us ill. Each one of us experiences normal fluctuations in our physical and mental energy. Just as plants need times of no growth–and even partial deaths to regenerate–so too, must we allow for times of decline, inertia, and stillness so that regeneration can take place to bring forth new ideas, renewed energy, focus and rebirth. We are not wired to incessantly push, go, do, create and achieve. If we continue to push against a low energy cycle we will be forced to slow down and go within via the manifestation of an unwelcome physical symptom, illness, or syndrome. So much of universal life is cyclical–the seasons, the solar system, plant and animal life–and we too are cyclical beings. Remember to honor that part of yourself.
